UCAS

UCAS is the organisation that your child will use to apply for an undergraduate degree at university or college in the UK.

It can be difficult to know where to start in helping your son or daughter with their application so this UCAS video provides a great parent guide on how to help your child with the process of searching and applying for a course at university or college.

UCAS also provide a parents information tool signposting you towards advice on the application process, accommodation, student finance, course searches and support. A complete UCAS guide can be downloaded below.

Open Days

If you have already done any research into your son or daughter's potential route into university, you will know there is a lot of information out there in relation to each institution. Therefore, it's perhaps no surprise that students and parents alike see university open days as a great way to get a genuine feel for a university, its facilities and people. Institutions usually hold several open days throughout the year for people to understand what it's like to live and study at a university. Click here for a comprehensive list of open days for universities across the UK.

However, if you can't get to an open day, you can check out the virtual tour page for videos and 360 degree online tours showcasing the facilities of over 150 universities.
