Post 16 Subject and introduction to university talks

Register interest

Bristol offers a range of opportunities to students taking A-levels or equivalent to help them make their decisions about university.

Many of our post-16 activities focus on giving students a taste of what it is like to study at university, giving them in-depth experience of the teaching styles they may encounter and the subjects they may choose to study.

We run practical sessions on topics such as the UCAS process, student finance and student life, as well as visiting careers fairs within schools.

Subjects include:

  • Arts
  • Engineering
  • Medical, and Veterinary Science
  • Science
  • Social Science and Law
  • Introduction to university talks

All our talks can be tailored to areas that interest you. Please email schools-colleges-liaison@bristol.ac.uk with details of your enquiry or register your interest above.

How to book a talk

If you are a teacher at a college within an hour’s drive of the University of Bristol and would like to arrange an academic visit, please complete the Talks enquiry form (Office document, 36kB).

All talks are dependent on academic availability. Due to funding restrictions, talks are free to local state schools; fee paying schools may be asked to cover the costs of academic time and travel.
